Stylized Outdoor Bin
Needed to work out a design style for 3D objects in my game. I create this model to test run it in game.
Modelled in Maya, then adjusted the UVs in Maya as well. Sent it to Substance Painter where I mostly used fill layers for the basic colors, and added some color gradients to each part of the object.
I also increased the shadows by creating new layers over the color layers, adding and inverting the AO map mask, and picking a darker color to lay on top.
I then sent the model and it's textures to 3DCoat to hand paint the details on the texture maps (with the help of a Wacom Tablet). This included the wood normal map 'curls', and drawing out the rest of the details on the albedo map.
